Kornraset Narkmun in Bangkok geborener Cembalist wuchs sowohl in Bangkok als auch in Europa auf. Er studierte Klavier und Cembalo an der Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Graz, am Haydn-Konservatorium in Eisenstadt, an der Mahidol University, College of Music und an der Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Außerdem arbeitet er seit 2018 als Betreuer für historische Tasteninstrumente. Zu seinen Lehrern zählen Chauwalida Kruasingha, Ralf Heiber, Chung Lee, Manfred Tausch, Konstanze Rieckh, Eva Maria Pollerus, Jesper Bøje Christensen und der renommierte Blockflötist und Cembalist Michael Hell in Graz, Basel und Eisenstadt, wo er seinen Bachelor-, Masterabschluss und seine Lehrbefähigung Klavier erwarb.

Er hat als musikalischer Assistent, Korrepetitor, Organist und Cembalist an einen Vielzahl von Projekten im In- und Ausland mitgewirkt.

Im Jahr 2022 führte er zur Wiederentdeckung Alter Musik als musikalischer Leiter in der Marienkirche der Schmerzhaften Mutter in Graz das Oratorium “Debora” (1760) von Gregor Joseph Werner, einem Vorgänger von Joseph Haydn in Eisenstadt, in originaler Besetzung auf.

Im Jahr 2023 wird er aus Liebe zur Entdeckung österreichischer Musik sein erstes Umwelt-Pasticcio (Sing-Spiel) mit dem Titel “Waldbrand-Kantate” aufführen, das neu entdeckte Werke von Albrechtsberger und seinen Zeitgenossen zur Aufführung bringt. Die Vorstellungen finden im Rahmen der “Langen Nacht der Kirchen” im Juni 2023 in Graz und auch in Klosterneuburg statt.

Nach vielen Jahren in Bangkok, Basel, Eisenstadt und Wien lebt er seit 2018 wieder in Graz und im Zug der ÖBB.

Kornraset Narkmun, born in Bangkok, is a harpsichordist who was raised in both Bangkok and Europe. He pursued his studies in piano and harpsichord at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, the Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt, Mahidol University’s College of Music, and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Since 2018, he has also served as a caretaker for historical keyboard instruments. His mentors include Chauwalida Kruasingha, Ralf Heiber, Chung Lee, Manfred Tausch, Konstanze Rieckh, Eva Maria Pollerus, Jesper Bøje Christensen, and the distinguished recorder and harpsichord player Michael Hell, in Graz, Basel, and Eisenstadt, where he obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, as well as his teaching certification in piano.

Kornraset has worked extensively as a musical assistant, accompanist, organist, and harpsichordist on numerous projects both in his home country and abroad.

In 2022, he took a pivotal role in the revival of early music as the musical director at Kirche der Schmerzhaften Mutter in Graz, where he conducted “Debora” (1760) by Gregor Joseph Werner, an early predecessor of Joseph Haydn in Eisenstadt, in its authentic ensemble setting.

In 2023, driven by his passion for uncovering Austrian music, he will debut his first environmental pasticcio, “Waldbrand Kantate,” which brings to light newly discovered compositions by Albrechtsberger and his contemporaries. This unique performance is part of „Lange Nacht der Kirche“ event in June 2023, taking place in Graz and Klosterneuburg.

After spending many years in Bangkok, Basel, Eisenstadt, and Vienna, he has been living in Graz and frequently traveling on the ÖBB trains since 2018.
