The Josephine Reforms never reached Prussia. The Gregorian chants were still being blessed in the newly acquired Silesia, or at least in Heinrichnau. But there is one apparent problem: there is no more money left in the church. The virtue must find another place to flourish. Meanwhile, Frederick the Great has won yet another war, which Carl Philipp came along knocking at his door.
Die Josephinischen Reformen haben Preußen nie erreicht. Im neu erworbenen Schlesien wurde weiterhin gregorianischer Gesang besungen bzw. gesegnet, zumindest in Heinrichnau. Aber eines ist klar: Es gibt schlicht kein Geld mehr in der Kirche. Die Tugend muss dann anderswo hinfliegen. Der große Friedrich hat schon wieder einen Krieg gewonnen, ach ja, dort fließt schon wieder das Geld.
