Patiparn Poonsawad is a faculty member at Kasetsart University’s Department of Music, where he teaches flute and ensemble. Each year, he participates in faculty concerts to offer his musical insights, promote flute compositions, and support chamber music.
He also collaborates with the Kasetsart Wind Symphony and the Nontri Orchestra Wind, advancing musical initiatives and concerts that enhance educational and multicultural activities in Thailand and its surrounding regions.
Born in Bangkok, Patiparn began playing the flute at the age of 11 under the tutelage of Widhaya Bhupipat and Teerawat Ratthanaphapameteerat. He played in the Wat Suthiwararam Symphonic Band, which was led by Surapol Thanyawibool and Soraphot Worrasaeng. In 2004, he started his higher education at Kasetsart University’s Department of Communication Arts (now the Department of Music), receiving flute instruction from Bunnaphat Tangpaiboon. During his undergraduate years, he performed with the Kasetsart University Wind Symphony, conducted by Surapol Thanyawibool and Nipat Kanchanahuta. He continued his studies at the College of Music Mahidol University, where he earned a Master of Arts degree in 2017, studying flute with Hiroshi Matsushima.
Throughout his career, Patiparn has participated in master classes with esteemed flutists such as Julien Beaudiment, Wally Hase, Robert Aitken, Michel Moraguès, and others, further enriching his musical expertise.
Chatchapon Jiamjanyong began studying music at the age of 8 at the Technic Music School. He took his first flute lesson at 13 years old at the Prasarnsilp Music School with Nicom Suwan. In 1998, he received the highest score award from the examination of Trinity College, London.
Mr. Jiamjanyong entered the Pre-College program of the College of Music, Mahidol University, in 2001 and studied flute with Surat Prapatrangsee, Katja Langfeld, Siriporn Jinanarong and Hiroshi Matsushima. Among many music activities he has participated in during those years, he won first prize in the Yamaha Thailand Flute Competition in 2004 and was selected to the Southeast Asian Youth Orchestra and Wind Ensemble (SAYOWE) in 2004 and 2005, as well as the Silpakorn Summer Music Camp in 2005. He additionally participated in masterclasses with acclaimed musicians including Sylvia Greenfield, Teruki Ishibashi, Worapon Kanweerayothin, Alexa Still, Carol Wincenc, Raphael Leone, Robert Aitken, Kazutaka Shimizu and Jasmine Choi. He was the principal flute of the Mahidol Wind Symphony and Mahidol Wind Camerata and also played in the Salaya Modern Ensemble.
Mr. Jiamjanyong graduated from the College of Music, Mahidol University, in 2013 with a Master of Arts (Music) degree and currently teaches flute, music theory and aural skill at the Prasarnsilp Music School and Music Campus for General Public (MCGP), College of Music, Mahidol University in Bangkok and also as a full-time teacher for flute, aural skill and chamber music classes at the Music Conservatory, Rangsit University since 2013.
Ekachai Maskulrat started his musical journey in Bangkok, Thailand and went on to Singapore, USA and currently is based in Basel, Switzerland. He is founding cellist with various ensembles from early music to rock and contemporary music, such as Sonorità, Girandola Quartett, Ensemble Van der Waals and Cell of Hell. Since 2012 he has been playing regularly as both principal and tutti cellist in Kammerorchester Basel, Basel Sinfonietta, Kammerorchester I Tempi, Geneva Camerata, Gstaad Festival Orchester, le Cercle de l’Harmonie, les Musiciens du Louvre, and Balthasar Neumann Ensemble.
